Rossano's Rice

In a 2-quart pan that has a tight lid, set on medium high temp.

Sauté:

  • ¼ cup olive oil and 2 tablespoons of chopped garlic (Costco's packed in water).
  • Sizzle until it starts to brown.
  • Then add 1 cup Basmati Rice (Costco) and continue to sizzle for 1-2 minutes -- then add I can organic chicken broth (Whole Foods or Trader Joe's -- 14.5 oz.)
  • Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • When rice begins to boil, cover with lid and reduce heat to medium low and set the timer for 20 minutes. Do not peek at the rice -- it will be perfectly cooked.
