Healthy snack for in-between meals
How to oven roast raw almonds and pecans from Costco.
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spread nuts out on two cookie sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes.
- The almonds take 15 minutes and the pecans take 12 minutes.
- Pour nuts into a large bowl and sprinkle with sea salt (almonds)
- Pour pecans into a large bowl and sprinkle with salt and cinnamon and for a treat add stevia or xylitol (birch sugar).
I mix these nuts together and eat in-between meals as a low carb snack I buy the large bags (32-48 oz.) of raw nuts at Costco and bake them myself. I also add Costco cashews to the mix and reduce the salt because they are already salted. Remember to drink lots of water. Your body also needs the salt and oils in the nuts. Enjoy!
